Welcome Jill, our new Program Director!
Jill comes to Pizza Klatch with an extensive background in program development, volunteer training, and curriculum development as well as training and workshop development for boards and nonprofits (such as HeadStart).
Jill received her degree in Intersections and Culture from Oregon State University. She is passionate about a variety of social justice issues, believing that cultural competency–though a lofty goal–should be the core of any community program. Some of her prior work experience includes the coordination of a program for homeless and street-involved queer youth in San Francisco, and extensive work as a trainer for various agencies in the California Bay Area, specifically in the areas of: Cultural Competency, Improving Services for Queer Families of Color, and Strategic Planning.
A few other fun tidbits “I love being a vegan, I love drama, greek mythology and conspiracy theory, hiking, writing, and talking to people on WhatsApp…..”
Jill recently moved to Olympia from the bay area and we are so fortunate to have her join the Pizza Klatch team to lead efforts toward continued excellence in Pizza Klatch programming!
